Availability

I offer in-person and online sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the day and early evening.

In-person sessions take place a few minutes’ walk, bike or scooter ride from the centre of Cambridge and close to bus routes. Pay and display parking nearby.

Online sessions are on Zoom.

An online or in-person session lasts for 50 minutes and will usually be booked for the same day and time each week. However, for online sessions, I can offer flexibility with day and time if your schedule requires this.

Please note that my counselling room for in-person sessions is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs (no lift).

Please contact me for current availability.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a free initial meeting. I provide a calm, safe and inclusive space, in-person or online, to explore your anxieties. I listen with empathy, authentic interest, compassion and no judgement, enabling your trust to be seen, heard and supported.

My integrative humanistic and Gestalt approach is holistic, addressing mind, emotions and body. Together we can explore and work with your concerns – for example, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship or family issues. My counselling adapts flexibly and uniquely to suit your individual needs, opening up ways you can work towards fuller self-understanding while finding more acceptance and ease within yourself.

Practice description

My role as your counsellor is to be a companion, always curious about your discoveries and supporting you to make your own meanings from what you find. Our work together gives the chance to explore the present concerns that are bringing you to counselling. As part of the process, you might also look at your earlier life, or consider what’s ahead, discovering how your thoughts and feelings about past and future may link with what’s happening in your experiences and relationships right now.

I encourage you in the moment to notice and describe how you’re feeling, emotionally and in your body, enabling and supporting you towards a fuller awareness of yourself as a whole being.

As counselling continues you may start to encounter new insights and perspectives, with potential to bring about self-supporting change and growth.

My first session

I offer an initial, free, no obligation phone or Zoom consultation to find out what’s bringing you to counselling and whether working together would be right for both of us. Please email or call to arrange a date and time.

When waiting to hear back from me, please check your email in case my reply has gone into a spam folder!

The next step following our initial call would be to arrange a first paid session, with the same fee as a regular session. This intake session will include some information-gathering as well as discussing whether, going forward, a chosen number of sessions or starting on an open-ended basis would best suit your needs.

A session online or in-person lasts for 50 minutes, usually on the same day and time each week.

I look forward to hearing from you and finding out how I can help.
