About me and my therapy practice
Above anything and everything else I offer myself in connection to you. Sitting beside you in what can feel overwhelming or too much, together we will find a way forward.
I am an integrative counsellor and have over over 15 years’ experience with children, young people and adult mental health supporting with varying issues and complex situations. Drawing from different models and offering a variety of styles within therapy means I can be more specific to you and your unique experience. Therapy can happen within the peaceful setting of the therapy room or beside nature if opting to experience eco therapy.
I am experienced with working with traumas, loss, challenges or when people simply need a space which exists only for them, and because of this variety I feel comfortable in taking on a wide range of challenging issues and feel open to discussing any area of life.
Practice description
I would describe my style as compassionate, any challenges that we need to walk through are done so gently but with strength. My biggest belief is that every person deserves the right to feel empowered within themselves and by offering the right therapeutic conditions this can be achieved for everyone. Blending therapies and approaches helps to create a holistic therapeutic experience for your comfort and healing.
I work by helping to offering practical, creative or spiritual interventions to help explore your sense of self and your experience, finding the right path for you.
This can be done through talking, walking, painting, imagery such as tarot or oracle card therapy amongst other ways.
I am fortunate to offer a large beautiful space with parking and I am trained to use nature as a co-therapist.
My first session
Your voice is an integral part of therapy and to help enable this voice I offer our first meeting for free, this way you can decided without financial pressure whether this working alliance feels right for you. We can meet for 40 minutes face to face where you can help me to understand what you need and what you want. We can also use this time to reflect on how the therapeutic journey might look.
