About me and my therapy practice
* I work online nationwide or in person if local to my area
* I am particularly passionate about supporting those grieving the loss of a companion animal.
Hello, and welcome,

I’m Helen, a person-centered counsellor. I focus on offering a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and start to address whatever may be weighing on you.
I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, each facing their own unique set of challenges.

I have particular experience working with those experiencing bereavement, including those bereaved by suicide. Additionally, I have experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse. I am trauma-informed and continuing to build on my knowledge in this area.
I also support those grieving the loss of a companion animal, your family member. Our relationships with our animals are so special, and the pain of losing them can feel overwhelming. I’m a member of the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors and take great care in offering a space of understanding and empathy for those going through this unique grief.
Taking the step to reach out for counselling can feel overwhelming, life’s challenges, whether they feel huge or quietly exhausting, can sometimes leave us feeling lost, stuck, or uncertain, and it’s perfectly okay to seek support. You don’t have to face any of it alone.
Practice description
*I take a person-centered approach to counselling, meaning our sessions will always be focused entirely on you and what you need. I hold a master’s degree in clinical counselling and am deeply committed to continuous learning.
