About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Lulu. I have tremendous respect for you taking this initial step towards change, personal growth and a more optimised life. I commend you for not settling and for daring to seek out an alternative way. My mission is to support you on every step of your journey.
Therapy is not a casual undertaking. It requires a sincere commitment on your part to prioritise yourself and your personal growth. Together, we will identify any blind spots you may have and we will take action by resetting those frames of reference and patterns of behaviour that are holding you back
After graduating as a Psychologist, I spent twenty years working as a Chief of Staff for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and coaching large international teams around the world. I then qualified as a Psychotherapist in order to become an empowering advocate for a much more diverse and inclusive Client base.
Prior to establishing a private practice, my clinical experience began as a trauma-informed Psychotherapist at a women's charity, working with survivors of rape, sexual violence and domestic violence.
I am currently working towards registration as a Clinical Sexologist and Couples Therapist.
Practice description
Combining Psychotherapy, Psychology and Coaching, I practice from an integrated approach, which involves selecting techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited to a Client's particular problem. I mainly work with Polyvagal theory, the Person-Centred approach, Transactional Analysis, Attachment Theory & Psychodynamic theory.
My aim is to work with Clients in order to help them develop a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves. Together, we identify any blind spots you may have and we take action by resetting those frames of reference and patterns of behaviour that are holding you back. I also work with Clients who are already living how they want to live, in a way that feels true to them, and who are committed to keeping it that way through regular and honest reflection.
I believe the aims of therapy are; to help you make sense of the past and to disentangle it from the present, to help you make, keep and enjoy meaningful relationships, to help you enjoy new challenges and explore novel situations confidently and with less fear, to help you tolerate negative feelings and to learn self-regulatory strategies when distressed, to help you understand what motivates you and how you can care for your own needs, to increase your psychological strength by giving you emotional tools to better face future difficulties and challenges, to help optimise your own capacity for self-repair and to help you live a fuller life.
My first session
Once you contact me, we will arrange a free of charge, 30-minute introductory call to assess your needs and see how I can best help you.
During our first consultation, we will go through my contract, GDPR, insurance, the ethical framework I am bound by and our confidentiality agreement. We will also complete a short assessment together and I will be able to answer any other questions you may have.
