Thank you for visiting my profile.

I offer a comfortable safe space to explore your feelings and support you in learning to trust your decisions.

Through my person-centred training I am able to listen compassionately to both adults and young people (11+) about past situations as well as current worries. 

Being integrative allows me to discover with you the approach that best suits you to build a therapeutic relationship that you feel part of and that allows you to understand yourself better.

Practice description

Developing a therapeutic relationship means that I will be curious with you about your life and what is important to you.  I enjoy spending time with both adults and young people.

The areas that you wish to understand better in therapy will be explored through gentle questioning.  As you grow in trust, I would like you to feel safe to share all parts of you in this process.

Together we will discover what motivates you, what your beliefs are, how your relationships work and how to manage those areas of your life that you feel are both in and out of your control.  

With both adults and young people, talking and accessing practical ways of representing how we feel can be helpful.  

My theoretical understanding of our nervous and emotional systems support any interventions that I introduce that will assist you in learning how to accept yourself.

My first session

Following an initial 15 minute phone call, if you decide that you would like to meet, we can arrange a first 50 minute session.   For work with young people this is with both the young person and a parent/guardian.

You will have the opportunity to ask any questions and to see the space that I use if you are choosing to meet face to face.

During our first full session we will go through the counselling agreement and initial information form together that I provide for you to complete so that we can agree what you would like to focus on.
