About me and my therapy practice

   I am a qualified Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ person centred counsellor. This means you direct the sessions whilst I listen, support and validate you at this time in you life. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, parenting issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I also have a passion for helping women during their pregnancy and the postpartum period including postpartum depression and anxiety. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I offer a warm and compassionte environment where I can tailor your therapy to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. This is your time for you.

Practice description

I work with adults who want to explore their emotions with someone who knows how it feels. I was where you are a few years ago, I had two difficult pregnancies and postnatal depression and anxiety. I really do understand how it feels for it not to be the way you expected. You end up grieving all the things you envisioned for yourself and didn’t get to have, you may even feel shame. I can support you through this grief, shame, anxiety and any other feelings that you have. 

I find most clients that I work with want to be heard and validated. Due to the way I work being person centred, I find this really help you work through your feelings where you  are given a safe and supportive space to bring whatever you feel they want to work on.  I also have found mindfulness beneficial to clients however I will always check in with you as I understand one size doesn’t fit all.

About me and my therapy practice

I work online and telephone and have a room on a Monday morning in North Shields 

Whether you’re going through a life changing event or you’re just wanting someone who will listen, I am here to help.

I understand it is difficult to reach out for support when you’re feeling burnt out and overwhelmed. Some days can even be so hard to get out of bed.  

When you’re heard and validated, you can begin to heal by feeling happier and more confident. 

My approach is warm and compassionate and I will provide you the space to understand your emotions and make sense of everything that is going on for you.

I am a qualified person centred therapist which means that you lead the sessions whilst I offer you empathy and acceptance. The therapeutic relationship is central to the way I work, so we spent a few sessions in the beginning establishing the rapport between us and we at your pace. 


I have an interest with working with pregnancy, post partum including post natal depression, Hyperemesis gravidarum and parenting.

 So what’s next? If this sounds good, drop me an Email and I can arrange a 20 minute telephone call with you. This is an opportunity for you to ask me any questions and see if I am the right counsellor for you. If you choose to go ahead with the sessions, I  will send over the contract via email which has a link to the online platform I use for the therapy. Once you clink the link, it will bring you to a virtual waiting room where I will start the call from my end. In our first session I will ask you a few questions such as an emergency contact details and your goals for therapy. The first session is a good opportunity to gather information about what is going on for you and how best I can support you.
