About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced Transpersonal Integrative therapist providing individual therapy in Brighton and Hove as well as offering nature therapy outdoors.

My specialisms involve working with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, trauma, as well as working with relationships and men's issues.

I work with a Soulful approach, which in essence means I work with depth. I listen deeply to what is at the heart of your story and together through inquiry we explore the threads that run through your experience. What narratives are shaping your life? What patterns of behaviour are no longer serve your sense of well being?

As we spend time together, we come to understand the events that have come to shape your life and your inner world. As we look for a way forwards, we also appreciate and reflect upon your past so that we may understand how you got here.

This is carried out in a safe, held space that is confidential. We move at a pace that is comfortable for you. It may be challenging at times but the work is always respectful of where you are at. We are not carrying out an intellectual exercise, you are not a puzzle to be solved but rather as we come to understand and appreciate your journey you gain a sense of agency and choice so that you are free to write your own story.

The work we do is collaborative and I am not here to give you answers but to help and guide you towards finding your own answers and ultimately help you to realize a sense of your authentic self.

Practice description

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

You might be struggling with overwhelming emotions or finding your relationships difficult. Perhaps anxiety and depression make the everyday world difficult and stressful. Perhaps you’re recovering from childhood trauma or you’re looking for more meaning in your life. We undertake your journey of therapy together and it is my role to guide and be alongside you throughout it all.

This is not about fixing you, but rather about you coming into a deeper relationship with yourself; To gain a better understanding of who you are; learning to hold, encourage and support yourself as you navigate your personal life; To realize your full capacity, able to embrace your uniqueness so that you may confidently take part in the world around you.

We create a  safe space for you to share your life and your feelings - to say the un-sayable or the un-thinkable, to include what may have been left out and has a need to be included. This space is judgment-free, as well as gently challenging. This will help you to see more clearly the parts which are blocking you from living the life you want to lead. Although the content of what we talk about may sometimes be painful, therapy can also be creative, insightful and even joyful.

Together, we'll develop strategies that empower you to support yourself out side of therapy, including learning to self-regulate and cultivate an inner loving parent.

My extensive training at Re-vision uses a soulful approach through which to integrate concepts from Jungian, Gestalt, Relational, Psychodynamic, Neuroscience, Body psychotherapy as well as developmental and archetypal psychology. I attend regular supervision to ensure my practice retains it's integrity and continues to grow.

Practice description

I hold a space that is an opportunity for you to share and speak to your inner world. Bringing it out into the light where it can be met and witnessed without shame or judgement.

Exploring the story of your life

There is an opportunity to explore the story of your life, the situations and various relationships that have influenced your self-view and your world-view. You may have come to find that your coping strategies, patterns or habits that no longer serve you and have now become an obstacle to leading the kind of life you want for yourself.

Past, Present and Future

We may talk about how you’re feeling today. Where and how we find you in your story and how that is impacting your current life. We may talk about the future. What are your hopes and dreams, your soul purpose? What does your heart yearn for? Where would you like your story to go?

These past, present and future perspectives are all intertwined. As we explore your inner world, we can begin to understand the story arcs that thread through your life.

Working Creatively

The rational mind and cognitive thinking can at times only take us so far, we may use creative approaches to deepen our work and bring what is unconscious into consciousness. By working with the imagination - through myth, poetry, art, imagery, dream work - we can invite a poetic sensitivity into our work; allowing you to reconnect with a sense of your heart and soul.

Embracing Difference

Sociocultural aspects play a role in all our lives and how we're feeling. I hold a commitment to be inclusive towards diversity; embracing and celebrating difference in our communities. I offer a space where cultural differences such as race, gender, sexuality, class, disabilities, ageism and neurodiversity are welcome and can be discussed openly, honestly and candidly.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute consultation online or over the phone.

I offer a 20 minute free intro session so that you can get a sense of me and the space I hold. A chance where we can check out if it’s a good fit - it’s important that you find what’s right for you.
