About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Hannah.
Sometimes life gets messy and overwhelming. Stress, work, relationship issues, grief, loss, health issues, anxiety, feeling low are things we can all experience at times. Sometimes those around us don’t offer us the support we need, or we worry we would burden them or be judged by them if we opened up about our problems. Counselling can be a way of helping us through life’s twists and turns.
I provide a safe, confidential, empathetic, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to understand more about yourself and your relationships with others. I offer a space where clients feel heard, supported and fully accepted as they are.
I work with adults, young people and children.
As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches and methods into my work and combine them to suit the needs of each individual client. These include Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I became a counsellor because I enjoy helping and supporting people. I see every client as a person of worth and work collaboratively with you, providing an understanding and supportive environment to enable you to explore your world and the challenges you have been facing and find a way forward. It is very important to me that every client feels heard, valued, validated and respected.
The therapeutic relationship between myself and my client is central to my work. My goal is for every client I work with to get the most out of every session and I ensure that the developing relationship, a focus on the individual client and the utilisation of my therapeutic skills leads towards this.
I work within the ethical framework for good practice in counselling as outlined by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ.
