About me and my therapy practice
When life is stressful and we find ourselves in pain, therapy can be a safe way to explore what is happening. For me therapy is not about an expert offering solutions but rather about working collaboratively to help you understand yourself more clearly and fully.
My training as an integrative therapist means that I have expertise in several theories and approaches and this allows me to tailor my responses to your needs.
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process and I offer a short initial consultation free of charge.
I offer both online and in-person sessions.
I work with Vitality and Aviva Health Insurance
Practice description
As an integrative psychotherapist I utilise a range of different theories and approaches to my work, tailoring my responses to your individual needs.
Therapy offers a space to explore what is causing you pain and difficulty within a safe, non-judgemental environment. I believe in working together, with you, to listen to your story and to explore your history and relationships, your culture and unique experiences. Working collaboratively we will work to illuminate patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour that might be impacting you in the present.
I believe that the capacity for change lies within the therapeutic relationship.
My background is in education and the arts. I have always been interested in what lies beneath our words and deeds and how we discover who we are through our relationships. Retraining as a psychotherapist allowed me to harness my creativity and to further my understanding of how we individually make sense of ourselves and the world around us.
