About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Debbie.
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor, firstly I would like to say I appreciate its not easy reaching out, looking for a counsellor. If you have never had counselling it can be daunting, not knowing what to expect.
I work with an integrative approach, this means I use both person centred and psychodynamic theories, together we will work on what you want to change to achieve your goals through counselling.
I know its not easy making changes in life, I worked in corporate business before becoming a counsellor and understand sometimes life can be consuming. Maintaining a job, raising a family, relationship issues, money worries let alone looking after your wellbeing. We never know what challenges lie ahead, or when a past traumatic event may catch us out.
I am enthusiastic about supporting clients to understand what is going on preventing them to move forward, unable to talk about their feelings with friends and family without being criticised or told what to do.
I offer a warm, compassionate, non-judgemental therapeutic space where you can talk through your current dilemmas, explore your past, and focus on what you want to change to achieve your goals in life.
I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, work related stress, redundancy, and relationship issues as well as grief due to the loss of a loved one.
The choice is yours; it is an opportunity to understand yourself in a safe confidential space, with me by your side.
Thank you for reading my profile, I wish you well on your therapeutic journey.
Best wishes
Debbie
