About me and my therapy practice

I am Sarah, a warm, friendly, and compassionate counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages through life's challenges and committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment.

I work with students, children, and adults in various life stages giving a safe space and time to explore difficult thoughts and feelings which are present for you.

I can work with you as you navigate feelings around anxiety, depression, bereavement, grief and loss, loneliness, divorce or separation, exam stress, anger, self-esteem, and more.

I currently offer online video and telephone appointments, allowing you the freedom of being able to have your sessions at a time convenient to you without the need to travel.

If you have read this far and are wondering if I can help you with what has brought you to a place of looking for a counsellor, please get in touch to arrange a consultation, and see if I am the therapist to join you on your journey.

Practice description

I combine my Person-Centred approach with integrative tools tailored to what you are hoping to achieve from therapy. This means, you will always be in control of where your sessions go, how deep you would like to explore or how much you would like to stay on the surface.  We will work to your agenda to work towards you gaining the best experience from our time together.

As your counsellor, I would offer you warmth and compassion and the freedom to explore what feels important for you in as much depth as you need without following any other agenda but your own.  There will be no obligation for you to pick up from the week before, if something has come up for you that feels present and of importance, you would be welcome to bring it in to the safe space we create for you together.

Life can present daunting challenges, and my approach is grounded in empathy without judgement, creating a space where you can express yourself openly and honestly at a pace that works for you.

Together, we will build a therapeutic relationship based on a sense of security and trust.

My first session

I offer an initial free of charge appointment for 30 minutes via telephone or video call to give us the opportunity to see if working together is something you feel is a good fit for you.

If you make the decision to allow me to be part of your therapeutic journey, we can discuss a suitable time and date for your sessions to start when you have had time to consider what you would like your next steps to be.

I offer concessionary session fees to students, please ask if you would like to  find out more.

I am fully insured and a Registered member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy.
