About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative therapist who works in a warm and compassionate way. I'm currently working a lot with issues around self-esteem, anxiety, relationship struggles and depression. I do a lot of work with students and young adults, as well as with clients who are struggling with burnout, work stress and family dynamics.
I will offer you a non-judgmental, empathic space to be seen and heard. You may want to talk through something significant that has happened in your life, or you may be feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed in your life now.
I will walk alongside you as you process emotions and build awareness at your own pace. There may be some reflection on your past experiences and talking through how these may be affecting you in the present. Together we can explore patterns of behaviour or ways of thinking that may no longer be serving you well.
I believe it is important to find the right therapist for you, therefore I invite you for a free initial 20-minute phone call where you can decide if you would like to work together.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist, I’m trained in various strands, including psychodynamic, transpersonal, and humanistic models. Meaning I can tailor my approach to suit your needs.
You are the expert of you, but I will be there to listen and encourage exploration within yourself. I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor, and how it can bring about transformational change in one’s life. I may offer gentle challenges and insight throughout our work with a view to helping you build awareness and bring about change.
I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem and depression or are experiencing difficulties within their relationships.
My first session
After our initial 20-minute call we will meet for our first session. This will include a brief assessment where I can find out more about why you are seeking counselling and will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions. From then on, we will meet at the same time once a week for 50 minutes.
