About me and my therapy practice
I'm a compassionate and approachable counselling psychotherapist, known for my deep empathy. I can provide you with one-on-one support in navigating various life challenges.
My approach to counselling is not one-size-fits-all. I adapt my support to suit each person's unique situation. Drawing from a wealth of personal and professional experiences, coupled with expertise in a wide array of counselling approaches, I ensure that the counselling journey is tailored to the specific needs of the individual seeking help.
Whether you're seeking long-term counselling or just a few short-term sessions, I'm here to help. Get in touch to arrange an initial session to discuss what feels best, but remember, you are in control of our sessions.
Practice description
With over 4 years of experience, my therapeutic practice offers a safe, supportive and confidential haven for self-exploration and growth. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from not only a psychodynamic approach but also psychoanalytical, relational, person-centred, CBT, play and narrative therapeutic techniques to provide you with a unique tailored experience.
I work particularly closely with trauma especially racialised inter-generational trauma and the impact on our nervous systems and how this in turn impacts relationships, self-esteem, behaviours, physical health and identity. I intertwine spirituality into my practice when requested by my clients, recognising the significance of an intercultural approach, particularly when working with Black and people of colour.
As well as a qualified psychotherapist I also have 9 years of experience in the mental health, human-trafficking, homelessness, domestic violence and housing sectors, providing intervention and well-being support.
My goal is to offer a diverse and culturally rich perspective to help you navigate life's challenges and achieve personal fulfilment.
