About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, offering in-person therapy sessions in Wolverhampton, and online and telephone therapy sessions UK-wide.

I understand that it can be difficult to reach out for counselling, but I believe there are times when talking to someone from outside of our own circle of friends and family can give you the time and space to process what is happening to you and to understand yourself more clearly.

My experience includes specialised bereavement counselling, and also counselling a variety of clients with issues including anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, health-related issues and abuse.

Prior to counselling, I had over twenty years of experience supporting people in the workplace. This included supporting staff with work-related stress, those returning to work after lengthy absences and those remaining in work with health conditions or disabilities. It has given me an appreciation of the stresses surrounding employment and the negative impact this can have on well-being.

My approach recognises your uniqueness and the importance of providing an accepting environment where you can talk freely, without fear of judgment. You will decide what is important to talk about, and I will listen to understand from your perspective. If appropriate I will integrate some creative techniques into our sessions to help you understand your feelings better.

Practice description

My therapy room is situated in the WV6 area of Wolverhampton. It is wheelchair accessible, with a car park, and it is on a main bus route.

Standard fee £45 per session. Concessionary rate £35 per session.

I have a limited number of concessionary sessions, available to the unwaged and trainee counsellors.

My first session

Deciding to seek counselling can be daunting. This is why I offer a free, no-commitment, 30-minute call via telephone or online video.

During this call, I will aim to understand what has brought you to counselling, what you would like to achieve and how we can work together.  This will help you decide if I meet your needs, and whether I am the right counsellor for you.
