About me and my therapy practice

I am a passionate and dedicated counsellor with a strong commitment to helping individuals overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential. With a number of years experience in the field of counselling, I have developed a deep understanding and empathy for the struggles that people face in their daily lives.

My approach to counselling is client-centred, meaning that I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Through active listening and genuine empathy, I work collaboratively with clients to identify and address the root causes of their challenges, helping them develop effective coping strategies and achieve long-term healing and growth.

I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. I utilise a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), tailoring the approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.

In addition to my professional qualifications, I believe in the importance of ongoing growth and learning. I regularly attend workshops, conferences, and training seminars to stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of counselling. This allows me to incorporate new tools and techniques into my practice, ensuring that my clients receive the highest quality of care.

I strongly believe that everyone has the potential to create positive change in their lives, and I am deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey towards self-discovery and personal development. I feel privileged to be a part of their growth and transformation, and I look forward to helping you overcome your challenges and achieve your goals.

Practice description

In my practice, I work with pre-teens, teens, adults and couples. I offer both short term and long term therapy and together we will review your progress at regular intervals.

I offer talking therapies as well as life coaching and business coaching.

Our sessions will last for 50 minutes and will occur on a weekly basis. I am able to offer flexible days and times each week for those working shift work.

To ensure our work together is productive, we will together have regular reviews. However, I also recognise the benefit of ad-hoc reviews if required.

I love to be creative and will often bring this into the therapy room if my clients want to experience how creativity can break through man made barriers which impact our ability to process what is happening around us.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified supervisor on placement (acquiring hours) offering professional support to counsellors and therapists through a person-centred and integrative approach.

Drawing on the 7-Eyed Model of supervision, I provide a reflective and collaborative space to explore your client work, therapeutic processes, and professional development.

Practice description

With training in online and telephone counselling, I offer flexible supervision options, including in-person, telephone and virtual sessions. My experience spans working with children, young people (CYP), and adults, enabling me to support practitioners working across diverse client groups and settings.

I am committed to fostering a supportive and ethical supervisory relationship, helping supervisees develop confidence, self-awareness, and clinical effectiveness. Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, I aim to tailor supervision to meet your unique needs and goals.

I have a background in the NHS as a Nurse and Midwife and extensive experience of leadership incorporating supervision within those roles. I am also a qualified Coach and have worked at a large University supporting both staff and students.

Whilst I am acquiring my hours I charge a reduced rate.

Contact me to discuss how we can work together.
