About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m a qualified and experienced therapist.
We all go through times in our life where we may struggle. Whether your difficulties stem from things happening now, or from past experiences, I hope we can work together to help you understand yourself better. This could be through exploring patterns of behaviour, responses to emotional situations or ways of being in relationships.
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, upset, depressed, angry, low or overwhelmed by negative or frightening feelings, struggling in relationships (family, romantic or other) or maybe you are just feeling stuck. Talking openly about how you are feeling is very powerful, it can help to ease and reduce troubling thoughts.
I work with a lot of clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional distress, relationship difficulties or are experiencing low self-esteem and a loss of confidence. I work with those who have experienced sexual violence. I also work extensively with those experiencing loss; a bereavement, the end of a relationship or having to let go of long hoped for life plans.
How counselling can help?
I work with together with clients to help them:
- Feel much more connected to themselves and their feelings, rebuild their emotional strength
- Understand themselves and the way they behave better, including why they respond in certain ways to particular people and situations.
- Use this understanding to cope better with situations and emotional demands.
- Improve their relationships and interactions with others.
- Feel more positive and confident, feel more able to make the changes in their lives that they might desire and to find ways to live richer, fuller lives
Practice description
With a focus on compassion, acceptance and understanding, I aim to offer a safe and caring space where people’s unique lived experiences are respected; somewhere to talk freely and openly. Working at your pace, helping you to reconnect with yourself, your true feelings and aspects of yourself that you perhaps might find hard to accept or understand.
I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative therapist, and registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ. I have extensive experience supporting people to explore their personal, professional and emotional lives, initially as a coach and mentor and now as a therapist. I am currently offering therapy to clients through the following counselling services: Women and Health, CPPD Low Cost Counselling and CCIWBS, a London based bereavement service.
I use a range of therapeutic models, rooted in the belief that we all possess the capacity for growth, and that insight and self-awareness are the starting points for positive change.
I work with a lot of clients who are experiencing loss, struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional distress, relationship issues, they may be experiencing low self esteem, a loss of confidence, or issues around body image. We work together to rebuild their emotional strength, confidence and connection to themselves.
Therapy can sometimes be challenging; reconnecting with feelings, experiences or memories we may have been avoiding, or not thought about for a while can be difficult and upsetting. But it can be very rewarding, allowing you to understand yourself better, and begin to live a richer, fuller life.

My first session
The quality of the relationship between the therapist and the person they are working with is often the key to the work being successful, so choosing the right therapist is really important.
To help explore if I might be the right therapist for you, I offer all potential clients a free 20 minute consultation (on Zoom or phone) where we can start to get to know each other and see how we feel about working together. This is also a chance for you to begin to share what might be bringing you to therapy.
If, after that session, you feel that you would like to work with me, we will arrange a regular time to meet once a week. In the first session we can talk more about how we might work together, and what you hope to get out of the process.
