About me and my therapy practice

Hello I'm Gulli, I wish you a warm welcome.

If you're here, it may mean you're feeling overwhelmed, lost, or stuck. Perhaps grappling with anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, or a sense that something vital is missing in your life. Perhaps you’ve been carrying pain or questions you’re ready to explore, or you long to reconnect with a sense of meaning and purpose.

Whatever brings you to this moment, I want to honour the courage it takes to seek support. Reaching out is an act of hope, and I believe that within you is the strength and capacity to heal and grow.

Whether you're seeking to tend old wounds, build resilience, or rediscover a sense of direction and joy, my role is to walk alongside you, offering a safe and grounded presence.

Research consistently shows that the therapeutic relationship is the most significant factor in fostering meaningful change. I place great emphasis on creating a space of trust, warmth, and authenticity.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch for a free 25 minute introductory call. We can discuss your hopes for therapy and explore what working together might look like. If after our call it feels like a good fit, I recommend a minimum commitment of 6 weekly sessions, which can lead to longer term work or time focused therapy depending on what feels right for you.

Practice description

My training is in Psychosynthesis Counselling,  a unique approach to therapy that recognises the deeper, often spiritual aspects of life—not in a religious sense, but as an acknowledgment of our innate potential for growth, meaning, and connection. It views challenges, crises, and even failures as opportunities for transformation; chances to discover and embrace a more authentic version of ourselves.

This approach helps to explore the many roles we play in our daily lives, from the inner critic to the people pleaser, the achiever, or the dreamer. In our work together we will seek to bring these roles into harmony, so they work together rather than pulling in conflicting directions.

One of its strengths is its adaptability. Psychosynthesis draws from a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including  somatic body work, Gestalt, Eastern philosophy and creative methods, to support your unique journey. It also takes a holistic view of mental health, considering how our emotions are influenced by factors such as our physical health, relationships, and environment.

Beyond my professional training, I continue to learn from the resilience and courage of every client I work with.  Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or continuing an ongoing exploration of self-discovery, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and care.

My first session

The prospect of meeting a stranger (even online) for therapy can feel understandably daunting. I offer a free 25-minute phone call for us to get acquainted and make sure you feel comfortable with me as your therapist. There's no pressure to continue if it doesn't feel right, but I encourage you to continue your search for a therapist who feels like a better fit for you in that instance.
