About me and my therapy practice
People have many reasons to seek counselling. Many come because of long-standing depression, others because of anxiety, or bereavement. Some look for support with relationship difficulties, work stress or low self esteem. Or they may not know exactly what their problems are, but feel that something is not quite right.
Whatever is troubling you, I offer a safe, confidential, transparent and jargon-free approach to counselling, that is tailored to your needs and wishes. Together, we will work to make sense of personal challenges and find impactful ways to live with, mitigate and even overcome them.
I believe that counselling can provide meaningful relief from distress, as well as new ways of thinking about problems, allowing you to live your life more fully.
Practice description
I am a qualified integrative counsellor who has worked both with the NHS and in private practice. I have experience in working with people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life, with a wide range of issues.
As a counsellor, I go at your pace, providing a space in which we can get to know one another in a safe and non-judgemental space. While much of my practice is person-centred, based on the idea that you are the expert on your own life, I also draw on aspects of cognitive behavioural therapy in order to help bring about lasting change.
I am currently working online only.

In our first session, we talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. These goals may evolve over time, but we will review progress regularly together and adapt accordingly.
