About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Katy. I am a registered counsellor (MÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) providing face-to-face therapy to individuals, couples and families in a safe and comfortable environment.

Modern life can feel increasingly difficult. My goal is to support you in exploring the challenges that you are facing and help you make the changes that you’d like to see in your life that will allow you to reconnect more fully with the world and the people around you, on your own terms.

I work in a non-judgemental, trauma-informed way and I offer a safe space for difference and diversity in both identity, gender, and relationship. My practice is a safe and welcoming space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

I am neuro-divergent affirming and work with individuals, couples and families who are living with ND, and feel impacted by the traits associated with ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, dyslexia dn more.

Practice description

My approach is integrative and built on the psychotherapeutic foundation of Transactional Analysis. By understanding your past experiences, we can make sense of how these affect you in the here and now, and impact your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I often weave neurobiological understanding into client work to offer a ‘whole health’ view of what is going on for you and bring clarity and understanding. 

This supportive and tailored approach will enable you to form a deeper connection with yourself and those around you - your family, partner(s), friends, and colleagues. I will work with you to understand your past experiences and how they might affect you now, helping you gain insight and understanding of your feelings and concerns. Recognising that every individual , family, and relationship is unique, I tailor my approach to the specific needs of my clients, whether it is short-term crisis intervention or a longer-term therapy plan.

Individual sessions cost £55 (50 minutes)

Couples Sessions cost £70 (60 minutes)

Family sessions cost £80 (60 minutes)

My office is based in a leafy, quiet, and private location with secure parking available.

My first session

I know it takes courage to reach out for support and knowing if you're making the right choice can feel overwhelming. I offer a free 20-minute consultation to help you take one step closer to finding the right support for you.

This is a no-obligation opportunity for you to see if you feel that I am someone you can talk to easily, and help us establish a way forward for you. You can book this by emailing or calling me.

If you decide that I am the right therapist for you, we will arrange a first session together. In this session we will discuss confidentiality, how we would like to work together, and begin to explore what you'd like to change in your life.

Subsequent sessions are 50-minutes long for individuals, and a full hour for couples and families. These usually take place at the same time each week and can be arranged fortnightly depending on suitability. 

I have some flexible sessions available for shift workers whose shift patterns are erratic and/or change.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Katy from 'Think.Talk.Feel'. I am a highly qualified Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ registered counsellor working with couples from my private practice in Warsash. 

As modern life becomes increasingly difficult, this can put pressure on our romantic relationships. Communicating can become difficult, connecting with each other in our time-pressured society can happen less frequently, or we might start looking for our needs to be met outside of our relationship. External pressures and our changing selves can mean that the relationship we had, or thought we had, can begin to look very different indeed.

I offer an integrative approach to help support you in understanding the issues you and your relationship face, why you might be experiencing them, and how you can begin to make the changes that you want. It may be that you'd like to work towards a new way of being together, or perhaps you are considering a separation that may or may not involve children.

Whatever you choose, we will explore these options and work towards your goals with warmth, compassion and no judgement.

Practice description

My private practice is called Think.Talk.Feel. and that's what we'll do together.

I am trauma-informed, queer-affirming,  and neuro-divergent aware. I offer an integrated approach that will be tailored to you without stereotypes or judgement. After all, love is love.

I understand that relationships look different for everyone. I work with ethical non-monogamy, polyamory and the many diverse ways that love and connection shows up in the world.

If your relationship has been impacted by an affair or betrayal, it is not uncommon for all partners to feel shame. I'd like you to know right now, that I make no assumptions about you, and only offer my compassion, warmth, and a commitment to helping you move forward in the most helpful way possible. I hope to make this a 'cringe-free' experience for all involved.

We can look at new ways of communicating, expressing your needs, setting and respecting boundaries and finding a new connection that will lead to a healthy, respectful, contented and emotionally resilient relationship for the future. 

My first session

I know that reaching out for help can feel embarrassing or difficult for any number of reasons. I offer a 20-minute free consultation for one or all partners to help you get the answers you need to decide if I'm the right therapist for you and what you'd like to achieve.

If you feel that you'd like us to work together, and there's no obligation to continue after the free consultation, we will arrange a first session together. 

First sessions last for 90 minutes and are £90. Thereafter, sessions are one hour long and cost £70. If necessary, these can be arranged fortnightly at an appropriate point during the work with the agreement of all parties.

I offer face-to-face counselling for couples and this takes place at my private and comfortable office in Warsash. Secure parking is available.
