About me and my therapy practice
Finding that genuine connection is really important, and can play a key role in the overall success of counselling. You will often sense whether a therapist is right for you, so listening to your gut feeling will often lead you to the right place.
My practice offers a human and authentic space with a therapeutic approach centred around compassion and non-judgement, providing you the opportunity to talk openly and reflect on anything you are experiencing in your life.
I remember the feelings of nervousness and apprehension when approaching somebody for support, it felt daunting and the choice is endless, so I hope to make the process as comfortable as possible for you.
I work face to face in a dedicated Counselling, Wellbeing & Therapy practice in Horsham, West Sussex, which offers complete privacy and a quiet space for you to relax and bring whatever is on your mind. The practice is accessible via public transport links, and car parks are close by. I also work online via a secure video link and via the telephone if preferred.
My experience spans across all ages (18+), and my practice offers a warm, relaxed and authentic space, and a therapeutic approach centred around respect, empathy and non-judgement, providing you with an opportunity to breath and reflect on any challenges or difficulties you are experiencing.
Whether you are experiencing Low Mood, Stress, Anxiety, Relationship struggles, low self-esteem/low self-confidence, or you are simply at a cross roads and unsure of your next step or where to turn, counselling can help. Through my work at a local hospice, I am also experienced in supporting people through the challenges of Grief and Bereavement, whether this is anticipatory or following the loss of a loved one.
Please feel free to get in touch to arrange a free of charge 30 minute consultation to get a sense for the process and establish whether you feel comfortable to move forwards.
I look forward to connecting with you.
Practice description
Talking to those closest to us is often not an option, or may not be available to you, and sometimes, it can feel easier to seek help from a counsellor who is impartial to your day to day life.
Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can be met with sensitivity and empathy – and without judgement.
Encouraging self-awareness and understanding, we will collaboratively explore your experiences, thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I can help you gain greater insight into any challenges you may be facing, and reflect on how you can start to make better, healthier choices moving forwards.
I offer a free 30-Minute consultation which can help you decide whether counselling is for you. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right person to help.
My first session
I offer a free 30-Minute consultation, and during this time we discuss what has led you to seek support, and provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a feel for the process.
Finding a genuine connection is really important, so this chat can help you decide whether counselling is for you, and whether you feel comfortable to move forwards.
Often we don't know how many sessions are required until we start the process, and this can vary from person to person. So I work on an open ended basis and review periodically. This is something that is discussed during our initial chat and throughout our time together, and tailored to meet your specific needs.
