About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Ciaran and I work as a fully qualified therapist with adults and young people.
I have over 9 years’ experience working with adults facing challenges with their mental health in education and charity settings such as Survivors Network and Brighton Women’s Centre. I have a passion for supporting those who may be experiencing intrusive and challenging thoughts, and difficult feelings in their day to day lives in an intersectional and trauma informed way. My professional background grounds my way of working therapeutically with the uniqueness of your suffering while also paying attention to the social and systemic pressures you might face.
Practice description
You might be struggling with your own awareness of painful feelings that can emerge from aspects of living such as intimate relationships, friendships, family, sex, death, stress, work, self-esteem and self-worth. Similarly, you might feel that your life is challenging, and hard to navigate but are unsure why. Either way, these feelings can be overwhelming, confusing and isolating. My approach is to work with you at your own pace to support you to explore, identify and work through the suffering and uncomfortable feelings you are living with, and to help you to make meaning of your experience.
Your experience is valid and welcome and I believe your experience is unique to you. I honour this approach in my work, remaining client led, attentive, kind and empathetic to your concerns and painful feelings during our time together.
My first session
To begin, I offer a free 15 minute consultation by phone. This gives both of us a chance to talk and decide if I’m the right therapist for you to work with. Then if you’d like to go ahead and work with me we’ll meet for weekly 50 minute sessions.
Follow on sessions are £60 per session and are 50 minutes each.
I offer a concessionary rate of £40, but please note there is limited capacity for these slots.
