Hello and welcome to Sana Te Psychotherapy. I’m Rachael and I welcome you to my page. My main areas of work involve traumas, childhood wounds, relationship problems, anxiety, and late diagnosis ADHD/Menopause which I also provide coaching for. If this resonates with you, please do read on.
About me and my therapy practice
Here's a little about me and my practice. I have worked for more than 25 years within university education, and currently within front line services alongside my private practice. These, and lived experiences, have allowed me to deeply understand and connect with how the impact traumas, childhood wounds and painful emotional experiences have on your everyday life. I am passionate about how strong the healing process can be when the right relationship qualities, approach and grounded care are offered to you. I am also a qualified menopause wellbeing practitioner and am grateful to support women going through this, as well as other transitional times of life.
Having worked with people experiencing a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, low self-esteem, toxic relationships, grief and traumas from working environments or unresolved childhood wounds, I have and continue to develop my practice and therapeutic services I offer to support you in whatever you are experiencing. I am passionate about supporting people who are in emotional distress.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and this means I put you at the centre of our therapeutic relationship. I also bring elements of CBT, and Psychodynamic work which supports learning about your childhood experiences and how they may impact on you now. My core belief is that you are the expert on yourself and how you are feeling and I would consider it a privilege to be beside you and share your journey to healing. I provide a warm, empathic, safe, non-judgmental space where you are fully accepted and welcomed as you are. I offer a free introductory telephone consultation to establish how we might begin the work together.
Practice description
I offer you a free initial 15 minute telephone consultation to provide an opportunity for you to tell me a little more about what has brought you to counselling, and for us both to see whether working together would be beneficial for you.
I work from a lovely therapy room located in Dukinfield and also Glossop.
I also offer walk and talk sessions in the beautiful green spaces of the Glossop area and online sessions via zoom.
