Availability
I'm available for online sessions throughout the week, with early before-work or evening sessions available on request.
I offer long term and short term therapy including limited sessions as preferred or required by you.
About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling stuck? Overwhelmed? Struggling with your day-to-day? Or maybe you've decided it's time to work through something that's been holding you back? I want to help you get closer to the life you want to live.
I work with a variety of issues but currently have a special interest in anxiety, self-esteem and relationship difficulties (romantic, family or otherwise).
By helping you to identify what's holding you back, we can work with this to help you move closer to being the person or living the life that you want to live.
I provide a gentle and supportive environment where you can bring whatever you need to our sessions. I aim to help facilitate an exploration of your experiences and emotions. By providing a safe space for you to work through any unresolved feelings, and experience the changes this can bring about, you're able to step closer to who you truly are.
I work integratively with a strong base in the person-centred approach incorporating creativity and somatic bodywork. I feel this allows us to further explore aspects of your experiences that you may not be fully aware of by connecting with different parts of yourself.
I work in an authentic way, with warmth, compassion and humour, where appropriate, so we can meet as genuine people within our roles.
I like to use techniques that have worked for me as I want to share how powerful they can be.
Where appropriate, I like to encourage self-care routines that work for you. We're all different and we all need different things to nourish us. Knowing what helps me - being outside, being in water, making things with my hands, spending time with loved ones - has been instrumental in helping me navigate difficult times in my own life. Having tried and true things to turn to when life gets tough can help give you a sense of safety.
Practice description
I can help with a wide variety of presenting issues including: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, confidence, control, bereavement, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, entry into adulthood, neurodiversity, and more.
I have a particular interest in those suffering from anxiety in an academic or work setting, struggling to pursue the life they want due to low self-esteem, those entering adulthood, bereavement by suicide and those who have left an abusive or controlling relationship.
My first session
I offer weekly sessions that last 1 hour.
For students or those on low income, I offer a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate.
I offer a free initial 15 minute phone call to explore what you're looking for and to help us decide if we want to work together.
The first session is usually a little different as we'll discuss how we'll work together and I may ask a little more about your background or current situation.
