About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my Counselling Practice, where my commitment to trauma-informed care guides our journey towards healing. I recognize the diverse experience of individuals seeking support and prioritize creating a safe, nurturing environment for transformative growth. My approach is rooted in the latest research, emphasizing compassion, empowerment, and respect for each person's unique journey. Together, we will cultivate resilience and well-being.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and proudly identify as Neurodivergent. With 25 years of experience, spanning the professional and academic realms, I offer a deep understanding of life's complexities. As a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), I specialize in working with adults and older adults, individuals in active addiction or recovery, and those who identify as Neurodivergent. I look forward to supporting you on your path toward personal growth and empowerment.
Practice description
In my practice, I value the importance of finding the right therapist. Making this decision can be overwhelming, which is why I prioritise creating a non-judgmental environment where individuals can feel comfortable sharing their concerns.
Informed by various therapeutic approaches, including humanistic, cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, and existential therapies, my integrative counseling style considers the whole person addressing their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I believe in empowering clients to lead the direction of therapy, providing the freedom to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours at their own pace. The therapeutic relationship is fundamentally person-centered and is built on trust, respect, and understanding.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute initial assessment to help prospective clients explore how we can work together and develop a sense of the therapeutic journey ahead.
