About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm and thoughtful, qualified Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ therapeutic counsellor with an integrative approach. I offer supportive and non-judgmental counselling for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges and will work collaboratively with you to support your mental fitness and to maintain your overall well-being. Here are some ways I can help:
Emotional support: in a safe and confidential environment where you can express your thoughts, experiences, feelings and concerns. This allows you to release pent-up emotions, reducing stress and promoting emotional well-being.
Self-awareness and self-reflection: to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your thoughts, and your behaviours. This self-awareness helps you identify patterns, triggers, and underlying issues that may contribute to mental health difficulties.
Developing coping strategies: to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges and where appropriate provide tools and techniques tailored to your specific needs, empowering you to navigate difficult situations and build resilience.
Identify negative thoughts and beliefs: that can impact your mental health, together we can challenge their validity, and support you to replace them with healthier, more realistic alternatives.
Building healthy relationships: I can provide an opportunity for you to explore communication styles, boundary-setting, and conflict resolution, fostering better connections with others.
Stress management techniques: such as relaxation exercises and mindfulness, to help you reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance your overall well-being.
Personal growth: Whether it's personal growth, career aspirations, or lifestyle changes you are hoping to achieve, I can provide support throughout the process.
Practice description
Whatever way you choose to access counselling with me, you will be valued and respected. I offer an integrated counselling approach bringing together person-centred counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy, which means that I can support you in a way that suits you best each time we meet.
I work in private practice, face-to-face from my therapy room, or alternatively we can meet remotely via video-link, or by telephone if this suits you best. I also offer walk and talk therapy.
In addition to offering integrative counselling, I also offer hypnotherapy, emotional freedom therapy, and NLP, which can be available for you too if required, see www.thehealingmind.co.uk for details.
All counselling sessions are 60 minutes long, and can be short-term, or long-term depending on your need.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation, during which I will work with you to complete an initial assessment.
We will discuss your needs and goals, and I will aim to provide you with answers to any questions you may have about the counselling process.
Then if you decide that you would like to work with me, and I feel that I can support you too, we can schedule your first session, which can be phone, video, in person or walking therapy.
