About me and my therapy practice
With extensive experience as a person-centred therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore the issues that are upsetting or disrupting your life. I believe that each individual has the capacity for growth and self-discovery when given the right environment to openly express themselves.
I work in a person - centred way with a special focus on supporting individuals impacted by suicide, including those who are outside the immediate family circle. Life can be unexpectedly turned upside down when a loved one or someone you know — a neighbour, colleague, client, gym buddy, fellow student, or your child’s best friend — dies by suicide. Often, those in many of these roles feel they don’t have the right to grieve or process their loss as deeply, believing that only immediate family members should feel such emotions. I am here to remind you that your feelings are valid and deserving of care.
My Approach
I work collaboratively with you, taking each issue apart bit by bit, allowing us to delve deeply into your thoughts and emotions. Together, we will explore and understand the roots of your feelings, helping you gain clarity and find the answers you are searching for. My approach is flexible and adaptable, ensuring we move at your pace. I aim to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and valued.
Practice description
Our time together working with grief after suicide:
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore and process these difficult emotions. Whether you feel grief, confusion, anger, or isolation, I offer a compassionate and understanding environment where we can work through these emotions together. My goal is to empower you, helping you navigate this journey of loss and pain while supporting you to find healing and move forward with strength and hope.
Additional Areas of Support
In addition to my specialisation in grief and loss surrounding suicide, I also work with clients dealing with a variety of challenges, including:
Social Anxiety: Understanding triggers and building coping mechanisms to feel more confident in social situations.
Depression and Low Mood: Exploring the roots of these feelings and creating a path toward greater emotional well-being.
Low Self-Worth: Developing self-compassion and healthier self-esteem through self-reflective and nurturing practices.
Relationships & Family Conflict: Working through relational dynamics to promote better communication and understanding.
Grief and Loss: Providing support through various forms of loss, beyond suicide, including bereavement and life transitions.
Living with Chronic Medical Conditions: Offering a supportive space to manage the emotional impact of chronic health challenges.
Lifestyle and Work-Related Issues: Addressing concerns related to stress, burnout, and finding balance in life and work.
My first session
I offer a FREE 30 minute online session to ensure we are a right fit for each other.
It is so important for the therapist and the client to 'gel' so we can get the best outcome for you.
I will look to understand what brings you to therapy and what you would like to get from it.
Alternatively if you need a safe space to offload or dump your thoughts & feelings I offer one off 90 minute sessions so you can just let go of what you are carrying around internally. These one off sessions cost £75.00 and can help you to get things out into the open, allowing you a clear space in your mind to know what you need to do next. You can bring any topic to these sessions and if necessary I can signpost you for further support and assistance.
These sessions also allow you an opportunity to see if Person centred therapy is right for you.
