About me and my therapy practice
I offer integrative therapy where I draw from a number of approaches to work with you in a way that suits you and your individual needs. My practice is warm and non-judgmental, and I create an environment in which you can understand and make meaning of your experience.
How can therapy help?
Life is often complex and exploring issues in conversation with another person can be illuminating, facilitating understanding of the present, and perhaps how past experiences are influencing current issues. This can and does bring about change in our relationship with ourselves and others.
This non-judgmental approach and an empathic relationship creates the nurturing space where you will feel accepted and confident to express your feelings. These feelings may be about fear, lack of self-worth, buried trauma, rejection or grief, relationship issues, bereavement and loss, anxiety, stress and much more.
In our sessions I will listen to you and your situation and will be committed in working with you. I believe that if you experience this way of being listened to, you will find a way through your problems or difficulties.
You will become more clearer about who you are and what you need. I find this approach works well for me and the client whom I have worked with and hope you will to. There is nothing more gratify than seeing people take control of their life again and developing into the person they truly are.
You can determine how long we work together, with my support if you need it, and we can discuss ending as and when it feels right for you as part of our ongoing conversations. I work with presenting issues such as depression and anxiety, social anxiety, stress, relationship issues, attachment, bereavement and loss, loneliness, anger management to name a few.
Practice description
Sessions are 50 minutes each week at the same time. You can talk about whatever is on your mind, from the past and the present, and bring feelings, thoughts and behaviours for us to consider together. Your trust and sense of safety is important, and I will encourage you to discuss things when you are ready, moving at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
I offer short and open ended therapy in the comfort of 3 spacious rooms.
