About me and my therapy practice

Choosing the right therapist can often feel like a daunting task, especially when you're already dealing with challenges in your life. My primary aim is to assist and support you through what might be a particularly difficult and distressing phase in your journey.

In our sessions, you can expect to find a secure, non-judgmental, professional, and confidential environment. This space is dedicated to fostering open communication and trust, allowing us to work together closely. Together, we'll delve deep into your feelings, thoughts, and experiences to gain clarity and understanding.

I bring to our sessions a solid foundation of expertise as a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Additionally, I am proud to be a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), adhering to their professional standards and ethical guidelines.

I believe that every individual's journey is unique, and I am committed to providing personalised support tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Practice description

I provide flexible session options to accommodate your preferences and comfort level. You can choose to meet with me face-to-face at the Fairford Therapy Centre, where you'll find a calm and welcoming environment conducive to our work together. Alternatively, I offer online sessions via Zoom and telephone sessions, ensuring accessibility and convenience no matter where you are.

For those who enjoy the outdoors or find it more comfortable to connect in nature, I also offer Walk and Talk therapy sessions. We can meet at a mutually agreed outdoor location to engage in therapy while enjoying the therapeutic benefits of nature.

Our therapeutic journey begins with an initial 30-minute consultation. This introductory session allows us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and determine how we can best work together. Following this consultation, our subsequent sessions will be 50 minutes long, providing ample time to delve into our discussions and explore your feelings and experiences in depth.

I strive to offer a range of options to ensure that you can find a format that suits your needs and preferences, making our therapeutic process as comfortable and effective as possible.

My first session

I believe in the importance of starting our therapeutic journey with a solid foundation of understanding and clarity. That's why I offer an initial, complimentary 30-minute consultation to all new clients.

During this introductory session, we'll review my therapy contract in detail. This contract outlines the scope of my services, including what I offer, my professional ethics, and the boundaries surrounding session timings. We'll also discuss important administrative aspects such as cancellation policies and payment methods to ensure transparency and mutual understanding from the outset.

Beyond the administrative details, this consultation serves as a valuable opportunity for you to share openly about the reasons you're seeking therapy at this particular juncture in your life. We'll explore your goals, wishes, and expectations for our work together. This conversation allows us to begin tailoring our approach to meet your unique needs and preferences.

Additionally, this initial meeting is your chance to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process, therapeutic techniques, or what you can expect from our sessions. Open dialogue is key to a successful therapeutic relationship, and I encourage you to voice any concerns or curiosities you may have.

Ultimately, this consultation serves as a mutual assessment. It provides both of us with the opportunity to determine if working together feels like the right fit and aligns with what you're looking for in your therapeutic journey.

I aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment from the moment we first connect, setting the stage for a meaningful and productive therapeutic relationship.
