Practice description
As a dedicated Person-Centered Therapist, I am here to offer compassionate support and guidance. My therapeutic approach is centered on you, with a focus on addressing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress and much more.
I have a deep understanding of trauma and abuse and their profound impact on mental and emotional well-being. With a gentle and empathetic approach, I can help you navigate the complexities of your experiences, providing a safe space to process and heal.
I am well-versed in helping individuals facing the challenges of depression and anxiety. Together, we will explore the root causes, develop coping strategies, and work towards a brighter and more hopeful future.
My approach is firmly rooted in person-centered therapy, emphasizing your unique journey and your innate capacity for growth. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to facilitate self-discovery and personal empowerment.
In person-centered therapy, as a therapist I provide an environment of unconditional positive regard. This means showing genuine care, acceptance, and non-judgement towards clients, regardless of thoughts, feelings, or behaviours. It creates a safe space for the client to be themselves.
I practice empathetic listening and understanding, aiming to deeply understand the client's feelings and experiences. This empathy helps the client feel heard and valued.
Person-centered therapy is non-directive. This means that I do not provide solutions or interpretations to the client. Instead, I facilitate the client's own self-discovery and self-acceptance.
My therapy focuses on the whole person, including their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It aims to help clients gain self-awareness, increase self-acceptance, and work toward personal growth while I support and guide this process.
My first session
Your first therapy session will be 50 minutes long and is offered at a special introductory rate of £20. This reduced fee allows you to experience our therapeutic approach and get to know me as your Person-Centered Counselling Therapist.
Your first therapy session with me will be a warm and welcoming experience. It will be an opportunity for you to get to know me and my therapeutic approach while also ensuring that you feel comfortable.
We'll begin with a warm introduction, and I'll take some time to get to know you better. This is your opportunity to share your goals, concerns, and any specific reasons for seeking therapy.
We will discuss and complete any necessary assessments and paperwork, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and your rights as a client.
