About me and my therapy practice

I am known as Jordan Ling and I am a fully qualified counsellor. I am registered with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and abide by their code of ethics. I hold an advanced Diploma In Person-Centred Integrative Counselling.

I offer a welcoming confidential space to explore your feelings and experiences

I work as a Person-Centred Integrative Counsellor and welcome working with all aspects of your experience, including the spiritual. I seek to work with what you bring and believe you are the person who best understands your needs. Sometimes it is possible to lose sight of our own 'inner knowing' - that is where counselling can help.

I have worked with clients of all ages 18+ and value the individuality of each client. My client work has been most recently with Network Counselling as well as in private practice. I have over twenty years experience in one to one mentoring and spiritual accompaniment.

Deciding to come for counselling can feel like a big step, and finding the right counsellor can take time. Counselling can offer space to connect more with who we truly are, and help us find greater wellbeing and wholeness.

Practice description

Counselling is a one to one way of working where you can bring whatever seems important for you to explore. I would seek to work with you in such a way that you feel valued, safe and understood. The counselling space is yours to speak about what is going on for you, or things that have happened in the past that are affecting you now. It is usual to feel a little nervous at the start of counselling, perhaps the process of counselling is new to you, and it can take time to feel comfortable about opening up - I will work at your pace.

Working in a Person-Centred way means I aim for the counselling to grow your confidence in valuing yourself. I seek to do this by listening well and supporting you in deciding how you might find space to be yourself. I come to this process with an awareness of different models; Psychodynamic, Transactional analysis, CBT and working with the spiritual, but the core of how I work is not to be the expert in our sessions but rather a companion alongside, as you explore.

My first session

I offer a free half hour initial session so we can explore the reasons you have chosen to come to counselling, and you are able to experience if I would be a good fit for you.
