About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, wanting to make a change and wondering where to start? Do you notice yourself repeating the same patterns in your relationships? Whatever you’re going through, know that you’re not alone.

As an experienced counsellor, I offer a calm, safe and non-judgemental space where I'll help you explore and make sense of your thoughts and emotions. I see therapy as a collaborative process, so developing a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. We'll work together to help you increase your self-awareness so you have the opportunity for more choice in your life and the possibility for change and personal growth.

Whether you require short-term support to address specific concerns or you're seeking longer-term therapy to delve deeper into underlying issues, I tailor my approach to suit you as an individual and your unique needs.

Through our conversations, I'll guide and support you to make sense of your experiences and the patterns of behaviour that may have become stuck. And as you come to know yourself better, I'll help you understand how your past may be impacting your present-day life so you can begin to move forward. My focus is always on helping you get a better understanding of who you are and how you would like to live your life and supporting you as you develop your own solutions to your difficulties.

Taking the decision to have counselling can be one of the most helpful steps we ever take in our life. It's important that you find the right counsellor and so I offer a free initial consultation either in person, online or by phone.

Practice description

I am an experienced counsellor, and a member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ, practicing in Winchester,  as well as online.  I work with both adults and young people aged 18 and up and depending on your needs, I offer both short and long-term counselling.

Clients come to me for many reasons including anxiety, depression, feelings of low self-esteem, trauma, sexual abuse, rape and assault, self harm loss, relationship difficulties and work-related issues.  Alongside my private practice, I work for a specialist counselling support service for people who have experienced sexual abuse or assault, resulting in trauma.

I offer face to face counselling from my peaceful studio overlooking the South Downs, which is a 15-minute walk from the centre of Winchester and is easily accessible by local buses. Parking is available at the studio and nearby.

As a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ, I am bound by and adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

FdA in Humanistic Counselling with Transactional Analysis (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited)

Training in trauma following sexual abuse or assault (Carolyn Spring - 5 modules).

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills

Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Studies
