Practice description

Welcome to my practice, a sanctuary crafted with care to help you feel relaxed, safe, and uplifted on your journey to wellness. Located in a peaceful setting, my practice is designed with calming decor, soft furnishings, and a welcoming atmosphere to help you step away from the day-to-day and focus on you.

Upon entering, you’ll notice elements of aromatherapy that subtly fill the space, creating a soothing environment to ease your mind and settle your thoughts. Quirky, calm-inducing touches, like unique artwork, cozy blankets, and mindful decor, lend a warm personality to the room, inviting you to feel at home while embarking on your healing journey.

For those who prefer or need to work remotely, I offer online sessions that capture the same warmth, empathy, and support. Each online meeting is conducted with intention, creating a consistent experience that helps you feel seen and supported, regardless of distance.

An added element of comfort in my practice is pet-assisted therapy, guided by my dog, Ember. With his natural ability to bring calm and connection, Ember provides a grounding presence, encouraging a sense of ease that allows for deeper exploration. Ember’s sessions are typically available in the morning or by special request, giving you the option to enjoy his gentle companionship when it suits you best.

Whether in person or online, my goal is to offer you a welcoming, nurturing environment where you feel empowered to explore, grow, and heal. I’m here to help you feel comfortable, understood, and fully supported in every step of your journey.

My first session

After booking your first appointment, I will send you an intake form to complete, along with a clear outline of the boundaries between counselor and client. These documents help us set a foundation of trust and respect, which is essential for effective therapy. We’ll discuss these guidelines in detail during our first session to ensure you feel comfortable, informed, and ready to embark on this journey. This initial step helps create a safe, supportive environment that honors your growth, progress, and well-being.

As part of my integrative approach, I offer personalized journaling prompts and thoughtful guidance to help you prepare for each session, making our work together even more impactful. Journaling can be a powerful tool for self-reflection, helping you gain clarity on your emotions, patterns, and goals. Each prompt is crafted to resonate with your unique journey, encouraging exploration of key themes such as self-awareness, relationships, and personal strengths. This way, you enter each session with a deeper understanding and readiness to delve into meaningful work.

Additionally, I provide guidance on how to approach these prompts to maximize the insights they reveal. Whether it’s through reflective exercises, mindfulness practices, or even simple goal-setting, these pre-session activities help you feel grounded, focused, and empowered. This process helps ensure each session builds on the last, creating a continuous, supportive path toward healing and growth.
