About me and my therapy practice
My passion for psychotherapy began with a commitment to improving mental health care. I was pivotal in introducing counselling models into traditional psychiatric settings as part of the Project 2000 New Nursing Training Syllabus initiative. This early involvement laid the foundation for my dedication to innovation and enhancing the quality of care available to those struggling with mental health issues.
In 2015, I pursued a qualification in humanistic counselling from the University of Chichester, ensuring that I stay at the forefront of the field and am equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques to support you effectively. My learning journey never ends, as I continuously strive to enhance my skills and expertise for your benefit. I
During my time with the NHS, I had the privilege of actively participating in the development of community mental health units. This experience underscored my commitment to making mental health services accessible and comprehensive for everyone. Currently, I am deeply invested in establishing nurse-led clinics in the Southeast East of England, emphasizing my unwavering dedication to providing healthcare that is both accessible and tailored to your unique needs.
One of my areas of specialisation lies in working with individuals who have endured trauma in conflict zones using EMDR therapy. I want you to know that I approach this work with genuine empathy and a deep understanding of the complex emotional toll that such experiences can have. My primary goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can heal, grow, and regain a sense of inner peace.
Moreover, my involvement in the planning committee of the International Humanities Conference for several years reflects my belief in the holistic nature of mental health. I firmly believe that addressing your psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being is essential for overall health and happiness.
