About me and my therapy practice

I provide my clients with a confidential non-judgmental space in which they can feel safe to tell their story, express their feelings and fears and feel heard.
I will support them to explore feelings that they are finding painful and distressing. I work to help clients find healthy ways to deal with difficult feelings and emotions.
I have worked extensively as a volunteer for a charity. I also have a background in teaching. This has led me to be interested in the reasons behind relationships and family difficulties. In addition, I also became aware of how negative thinking patterns can mould people’s lives and many times stop them from living their lives to the full potential.
I have a degree in Counselling as well as a degree in Theology and Marketing.
I work to help clients find healthy ways of coping with anger, frustration and stress. I also work to help clients find their strengths and abilities and find a way of using these to thrive in life and deal with the fear of living the life.

Sometimes life can get too difficult and complicated and we find ourselves stuck and immersed in sadness, overwhelmed and lost for words. At the same time, the mind gets too tired of trying to find a solution and answers to life's difficulties.
Counselling can be a valuable tool to help you explore these feelings and thoughts. It can help you explore other perspectives to your problems and understand a bit more about yourself.
I work to help clients enhance their personal growth and self-acceptance, as well as finding hidden qualities and attributes about themselves. I am an integrative counsellor, which means I employ a variety of methods and techniques to suit the needs of each individual. My counselling modalities include CBT, Person Centred, Existential and Psychodynamics.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 20 minute session. This is aimed at getting to know you and the reasons that have brought you to counselling. In this session, I will also explain to you how I work. This session is an opportunity for us to know more about each other before we make a commitment to work together. I want you to get a sense of how therapy will proceed and how you will feel around me.
