About me and my therapy practice
Life is so busy that sometimes we feel like we don’t have time to think. We keep plodding on, even though something doesn’t feel right. Taking a step back each week with me will give you an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with what is going on and what is important to you.
I work with a wide range of individuals, but I particularly love working with people who feel disconnected from themselves and their bodies. Often they have experienced either acute or low level trauma and feel ready to invest some time in better understanding themselves so they can make changes.
We will look at what feels most relevant to you when you come each week. We will likely explore how the past has impacted where you are now, and with this new understanding you will be able to make different choices. The body often has lots of clues about what is really going on, so we will work with the body, the breath and creativity to support our work. No artistic talent required – promise!
On a personal, level I love the outdoors and I trained as a yoga teacher (although I’m sadly not teaching at the moment). I’m a mum and have experienced living in different cultures.
It can be daunting starting the process of counselling, and finding the right person to support you is key. Feel free to contact me to discuss how we might work together.

My first session
Once you have made contact, we'll have a brief conversation to organise a suitable time to meet for a first session.
The first session will be a little different to most sessions. You can tell me more about yourself and what is troubling you. I will also explain how I work and give you plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
