About me and my therapy practice

I am a friendly, creative, integrative counsellor with a client centred focus, I am currently working with individuals (18+ ) and couples / throuples.  I have and inclusive approach to my practice and I will adapt our way of working together to ensure that it the best approach for you.

I have supported both adult and younger clients through a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, gender identity, sexuality, low self-esteem and confidence, family and relationship problems and educational based anxiety. I am kink, poly and ENM friendly and offer a judgement free space.

I have professional and personal experience with Autism and ADHD and offer a low pressure, low demand approach to counselling. I am aware that just because two people share a diagnosis, doesn't mean they experience life the same way and hope to create a safe space where you can explore your individual life and experiences.

I have previous experience working as a counsellor in a school and 6th form college,  supporting young people with a range of school based anxieties and whilst I am unable to offer private counselling to young people currently, I am aware of the emotional affect this can have on caregivers. When we are so busy supporting our loved ones it can leave us feeling like we have nothing left for ourselves. I have experience of working with postnatal parents as a peer supporter and as a single mother myself I am aware of the difficulties and pressures this can bring.

I offer an open minded, judgement free, inclusive approach to counselling and aim to give you a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, dreams and ideas. I believe that everyone is capable of change (although it may not always feel like it) and by working together, at a pace you are comfortable with, we can explore your past and present in order to move forward with the future you want.

Practice description

I offer a flexible approach to counselling. I am aware that life can be busy and being able to commit to the same day and time each week can be unrealistic to some. Along side regular appointments I offer flexible sessions (subject to availability) or fortnightly appointments.

I have an accessible, confidential room in the Walworth Enterprise Centre on the Walworth Industrial Estate in Andover, Hampshire. There is parking outside and a bus stop a short walk away.

When you arrive there is a waiting area opposite reception where I will meet you and show you to my counselling room. If we are working together online I will email you a Zoom/Microsoft Teams link prior to our session.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute phone call before booking a first session to ensure that we are a good fit for each other. If we both feel we are able to work together we can agree a date and time to start out sessions together.

In our first session together I will discuss confidentiality and any limitations to this.  We then spend some time exploring what brings you to counselling, how you are experiencing life and what your hopes for counselling are.
