About me and my therapy practice
At times life can be difficult to navigate, with challenging events arriving unexpectantly. The road ahead can become unclear, and anyone can struggle making positive choices to improve their unique situations for the better. The first beneficial step towards improvement is always the biggest.
As a Pluralistic Counsellor, I am trained to sensitively listen without judgement. Together we can explore your individual concerns in a safe and comfortable setting. Whatever the problem, I will provide an empathetic and confidential space for you to reflect and consider what is happening to you. Together we can discuss realistic options appropriate to your lifestyle. My training allows me to consider a variation of therapeutic tools such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic and Psychodynamic options. As well as adapting Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Mindfulness techniques to suit your particular needs.
My experience so far in counselling has allowed me to work together with people from all walks of life. I have assisted therapeutic groups with the aim of easing Anxiety, Depression, living with Long Term Illnesses and Addictions. I have previously been part of a busy practice helping people suffering from Stress, Self-Harm, Suicidal Thoughts and Trauma amongst other concerns. I also hold a Children's and Young Person's qualification, this allows me to assist clients from the age of sixteen and above with concerns about Bullying, Low Self-Esteem, Relationship Breakdowns and Bereavement. My current counselling setup allows me to work with people in person and online.
