Hello, I’m Annabel, I am an experienced qualified counsellor, I can help you to feel better about yourself and make sense of your difficulties and fears. I offer gentle, accepting listening so that you feel heard and understood, whatever you need to explore. I will work with you in a collaborative, down to earth and compassionate way . I was born and bred in Yorkshire and lived in France for over 35 years before relocating back to the UK. I conduct therapy in both English and French.

Do you struggle with low self-esteem or feel you’re just not good enough ? Do you constantly worry what others think of you or feel hindered by anxiety ? Perhaps you are finding a particular situation or life event overwhelming ? You might not be able to pinpoint what exactly is bothering you, you just want clarity and to be able to make positive changes in your life.

I believe that having a place to talk freely about our worries, without feeling any judgment or expectations enables us to gain awareness and changes happen. I can support you to explore your thoughts and feelings however difficult or confusing they may be. We will discover together any underlying causes, how you can relate better to others and especially, be kinder to yourself.

If you decide to work with me, my hope is that you will gain confidence in your innate ability to choose what is right for you, recognise your strengths and develop a greater sense of who you are.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for both of us to see if we are a good client/counsellor fit. I will ask you a few questions about your situation and what brings you to seek therapy at this particular time. You will be able to find out more about how I work and what counselling with me might entail.

At the end of the session you if you feel that you would like to continue then we can book you in for another session.
