Sessions from £55.00

Features

  • Flexible hours available

Availability

I am offering online therapy via GoogleMeets/Zoom/Telephone, to adults and young people (aged fourteen and above). I currently have some availability, so please get in touch for a free 20 minute telephone consultation.

About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for support is a brave step in the right direction. Therapy can help when we are struggling with certain events, emotions, relationships and situations. There are times we may feel isolated and alone, or lost and hopeless, or just not quite ourselves, unsure of what’s wrong and what will help. As a professionally trained Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor I can help you find a way through to a better place. I will provide a compassionate, confidential, non-judgemental and emotionally safe space for us to explore whatever it is you are facing.

As an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I will use a variety of approaches and techniques to explore what is going on for you, helping you make sense of what you are feeling. As a result you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others around you. Through this increased awareness we can work together to facilitate acceptance, healing and growth.

If this resonates with you and you feel ready to take that important first step then please call, write or message me today to discuss how I can help you. I am looking forward to hearing from you and being part of your journey.

For your reference: I trained with and qualified from the award winning Northern Guild, Newcastle, on UKCP and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ accredited course for Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I also have a Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Level 2 qualification which is a type of psychotherapy that helps children and young people build and repair relationships with their caregivers or parents.

I have an enhanced DBS and hold indemnity insurance and am registered with the ICO.

Practice description

I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation before arranging an initial session. It is important that we both understand your issues and expectations to see if Psychotherapeutic Counselling is the right approach for you. It is also a good opportunity for you to get a feel for me to see if you think we would be a good fit.

We will then choose a mutually suitable time for our sessions, which will be 50 minutes long. I will send a link to our sessions a minimum of 24 hours before our sessions. I will provide you with information about what platform we will be using, what should happen if we lose connection as well as a copy of the contract and confidentiality agreement prior to our first session.

You are welcome to email me with any questions you may have.

My first session

In our first session, or two, I will be more directive and ask questions about your current situation, your reason for reaching out now, previous experiences of therapy, your family history/childhood and your hopes and expectations.

We will then collaboratively agree a goal for the following 6 or so sessions, identifying an area that you would like to specifically focus on during therapy. Don't worry, if you're not to sure about this, this can be an emerging goal as the work and the relationship develop.

We will then meet weekly or fortnightly to explore this area as well as any current stressor or issues that may come up for you in between sessions and review progress and the approach every 6-8 sessions.
