My In-person private practice is located in Westminster (5 minute walk from Victoria station).

I specialise in working with gay and bisexual men.

About me and my therapy practice

Feeling anxious? Depressed? Confused?

I specialise in working with gay and bisexual men who are struggling with anxiety, alcohol, "coming out", chemsex, drugs, depression, HIV, sexuality, shame, relationships, feeling "stuck" and "overwhelmed".

I'm an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. This means that I use a range of different approaches when working with clients. This enables me to tailor your therapy around you and your individual needs, rather than applying a one size fits all approach.

Therapy is collaborative process where we work together. So developing a strong "therapeutic relationship" (the relationship between me, your therapist, and you, the client), is at the core of our work. To help facilitate this I will provide an environment which is:

  • Confidential
  • Safe
  • Non-judgemental
This will help explore and unpack your world, and together we can see what emerges. Through this process there is the opportunity to develop and promote:

  • Awareness around behaviours and choices
  • Individual autonomy
  • Change and personal growth

Clients choose to work with me for a variety of reasons. Due to my own background I see a diverse range of people. What they all have in common is a desire for something to change. This is where I can help.

Visit my website www.benedicts.org to find out more about me, my approach, and my passion for helping gay and bisexual men within the LGBTQ+ community in London.

I'm also the founder of www.GayMensCounselling.co.uk which is a specialist service helping gay and bisexual men in London with their mental health and well-being.
