About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Emma, I am here to offer you time and space to be heard through your own words and feelings. You could be experiencing anxiety, depression or feeling overwhelmed, with the challenges that life brings to us.
Talking to someone and sharing in confidence without judgement, can be really helpful. At times it can feel hard to ask for support. But reaching out and working through the safety of the therapeutic relationship, we can address difficulties together and understand how life can be more fulfilling for you.
Counselling is allowing time for ourselves in a safe and confidential environment, which in today’s world can be hard to find. I often think of this time as self-care and a commitment to our inner-self, recharging our mental fitness.
My experience includes supporting people around grief and loss which appears in our lives in many different forms. Including pet bereavement, work related issues, relationship breakups, empty nest, family issues and dynamics, or finding yourself alone after being widowed.
I have also supported both adults and young people with anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, depression, relationship problems, ADHD and neurodivergence.
My background is in Hospice care and support, this includes supporting carers.
As an integrative counsellor I am able to draw on a wide range of therapeutic approaches. One being the Person-Centred approach, enabling the opportunity to establish a healthy, supportive and individual relationship. The Person-Centred approach, also offers a sense of calmness and time to reflect allowing the answers to come from within.
Sometimes things can become overwhelming and we need support to understand what it is we want. We will always work at your pace and in your time.
My first session
I offer a free introduction call, where we can have the opportunity to speak to each other. This would be on the telephone or online (I will send the link). Please email or text me to book.
If our working together feels acceptable and you would like to book a future session, I would need to collect further information from you e.g. contact details and reason for referral.
Future sessions are 60 minutes in length.
The cost of each session is £50.00. Payable through bank transfer 24 hours before commencement of the session.
