About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Julia. I am a fully qualified BA (Hons) therapeutic counsellor who can offer you a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings.
I specialise in helping people with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and chronic health challenges. I also have experience working with all kinds of problems such as grief, trauma and work-related stress.
Practice description
We can work in a variety of ways, depending on your needs. We could explore your past and the impact it may be having on your present-day life, and find ways to process any unresolved issues holding you back. Perhaps you would like to work on a particular issue such as managing your feelings around loss or finding meaning and purpose in your life.
Our sessions can help empower you in many ways, such as helping you to understand your thoughts and feelings, finding ways to calm your nervous system, reprogramming your thoughts and improving your self-esteem.
I understand that it can feel daunting to take the first step by seeking counselling, but l will help you feel at ease and go at a pace that you feel comfortable with. I offer a free no obligation to work with me chat for you to get a feel for me and how I work.
My first session
During the free initial consultation, I will ask you what you want to work through in therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will explain how I work and you can ask any questions. You do not need to decide whether you want to work with me during our chat. There is no obligation. It is simply a chance to connect and see if what I can offer feels right for you. If you decide to work with me I will send you some paperwork including a contract, registration form and a privacy statement for you to sign. During our first session, we will discuss our contract and I will also ask you questions as part of an assessment to help us to work effectively together.What I can help with
