About me and my therapy practice

As I witness my clients transform, I am often reminded of the ancient Japanese art of mending pottery with gold. In order to survive emotional pain, loss, and trauma, we fragment parts of ourselves, that we can disown, or see as flawed, broken or wrong. The process of therapy is reclaiming these parts, seeing their pain, acknowledging their wisdom. We cultivate self-compassion and understanding, which results in more harmonious and satisfying relationships, helps us get unstuck, opens up space to be creative in how we see the world and achieve our goals.

I trained at the Minster Centre in London, one of the most rigorous and respected psychotherapy courses in the UK. In my practice, I work with a variety of issues, both long and short term. The depth of my training allows me to work with a variety of presenting issues - relationship problems, family issues, anxiety, panic attacks, childhood trauma, depression, suicidal thoughts, loss and bereavement.

Practice description

The most important thing for me as a therapist is to see you as a human being, to create a space for you to be heard and seen, where you can explore, feel, think, relate.

As we work together, I will draw from a wide range of psychotherapeutic approaches. This allows me the flexibility to tailor the theory to you and whatever has brought you to therapy.

How will that translate in the therapy room? We will be paying attention to your moment-to-moment experience on an emotional, relational and cognitive level. We will be listening to what your body is trying to tell us by using mindfulness and meditation techniques. We will explore the past, while focussing on how it may manifest in the present. And as humans are, by nature, social we will be looking at the larger societal context, while keeping in mind the unique matrix of diversity that makes you, you. In addition, I will often work with emerging images and metaphors, tapping into into right-brain to right-brain communication.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello there. I am a relational, integrative therapist with special interest in infertility and perinatal mental health.

I worked at the London charity CPCP for three years, where I received specialised training in counselling women and men going through difficulties with primary and secondary infertility, IVF, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, pregnancy after stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) and post natal depression.

There is a culture of silence when it comes to these issues, which is why I am passionate about supporting clients who often struggle alone at a time when they feel most vulnerable.

Practice description

I work both short and long term. Sometimes clients want the space to tell and process their stories and 10, or even 6 sessions are enough. Sometimes there are deeper issues at play, which require more time and attention.

I trained at the Minster Centre in London, one of the most rigorous and respected psychotherapy courses in the UK. I work integratively, which means that I draw from a wide range of psychotherapeutic approaches - psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, body psychotherapy, mindfulness, trauma theory. This allows me the flexibility to tailor my approach to you and your issues and work at a greater depth in longer term therapy if necessary.

What is most important for me, when I work with these issues, is to be gentle, accepting and empathetic, and create a space for you to voice whatever you are holding.

Practice description

I am an integrative therapist, which means I have been trained to work with most major psychotherapeutic approaches: psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, body psychotherapy, trauma informed therapy, Gestalt, relational psychoanalysis. This allows me the flexibility to tailor my approach to you and your specific issues.  However, what is most important for me as a therapist is to connect with you on a human level, to really see your perspective and understand your world.

In addition, I am a visual thinker, and will often work with emerging images and metaphors, which we can explore together.
