About me and my therapy practice

Hello and warm welcome to you.  My name is Tina; I was born and raised in France and moved to England when I was 21 years old. I am a qualified Person-Centred psychotherapist, specialising in working both with adults and young people.  I was drawn to the profession of psychotherapy by my desire to engage in meaningful work and my love of people.

 I am passionate about the empowerment which derives from self-discovery and self-development since they contribute to personal growth.  I bring curiosity and dedication to the process of therapy. I aim to provide a warm, authentic relationship where you have the space to express yourself, to make discoveries, to grow, heal and lead your fullest life.

 I am a member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ).  I comply with their ethical framework for good practice which stresses the importance of a safe and reliable and confidential setting.  This means that I have regular supervision.  Life is not static which is why I keep my learning open. As part of my professional commitment, I attend ongoing training to further enhance my knowledge.

As a Person-centred practitioner, I am guided by the idea that you possess the inner resources to find your own solutions in order to reach your potential.

I hold am Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) certificate and I am insured with Holistic Insurance. (Membership HIS81804)


Practice description

There are times when life's difficulties can overwhelm and hold us back. I work in a stress-free, safe and empathic environment where you can expect to be listened to and heard.  I am here to help you connect with yourself, develop personal awareness and understanding of the challenges you might be facing.   I aim to provide a trusted, confidential, supportive safe space and environment. 

My work is rooted the Humanistic Approach because I believe in the power of kindness, compassion and genuine care between people.  My style has been described as gentle, empathic, collaborative and authentic. Through my personal journey in becoming a qualified psychotherapist, I know that therapy can be challenging. I also know that therapy can be the most important journey you will ever embark upon.   The therapeutic relationship is key to the process of you bringing your authentic self without fear of being judged.  You can be received as you are and together we can cultivate and nurture a healthy relationship.

I have extensive experience in working with a variety of issues with adults, children, teens and young adults.  These include anxiety and stress, trauma, bereavement, loss, grief, relationship issues and breakdown, low self-esteem, gender and sexuality related issues, changes, self-harm and suicidal ideation, and all forms of abuse.

I have experience volunteering and working in different settings such as Primary and Secondary schools and non-profit organisations. I currently volunteer with Place2be and The Deborah Ubbee Trust in Greenwich.  I also have a small Private Practice in Greenwich and London Bridge where I meet clients face-to-face.  In addition to talking therapy, I can work creatively including sand tray, cards, arts; these mediums drill fast into the unconscious and would only be offered with caution and diligence.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation over the phone where you and I can decide if we are a match.  We can then take things one step further and meet online or face-to-face  for our first session.  This consultation is payable. It is a mutual assessment and an opportunity to learn more about each other. This meeting normally involves taking a brief personal history and exploring your reasons for seeking therapy. By the end of session, we should both have a good idea if we are a good fit to work together. You are under no obligation to take up therapy at this point.  You can contact me via e-mail to arrange your free initial talk.

Depending on the outcome, I can offer short (6 to 8 sessions), time-limited and long term therapy.

The cost of a session is £55 (online) and £70 (in person) for a 50 minute session. Fees are due before the session.  I will send you my bank details prior to our first session to facilitate this. 

Please note that I take breaks at regular intervals over the year, including half-term and school holidays. I will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible for any unplanned absence and I ask that you do the same. In the case of missed sessions, I will do my best to offer you an alternative day and time wherever possible. For cancellations with less than 24hrs notice, the session fee is still due. If I cancel, the fee is not payable for that session.
