About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Counsellor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional offering a safe supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. You may be experiencing a life event, change in circumstances, feel stuck in an aspect of your life or want to explore aspects of your history as you forge your present and future paths. I am here to support you as you explore the elements that have brought you to counselling at this time.
As an Integrative Counsellor my practical and theoretical training is grounded in Humanistic Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Existential and Cognitive ways of working. Each of these approaches are integrated into the way I will therapeutically work with you, depending on your own unique requirements. Working with this integrative therapeutic model means I am here to support you in the way you specifically need at this time. Our time together will be informed by your agenda for sessions, not directed by me, or to suit a singular therapeutic approach. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional I am experienced supporting individuals who have been impacted directly by traumatic events, or have experienced vicarious trauma as a consequence of witnessing a loved one or another person in life-threatening circumstances.
Alongside my Private Practice I work in a Hospice Bereavement Team supporting individuals adjusting to the death of loved ones, providing support for those experiencing complex grief, traumatic loss or multiple bereavements.
