About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited psychodynamic therapist which means I am able to offer you an open and confidential space to explore whatever might be on your mind. An opportunity to find hope, and transform the way you might understand yourself, others and our world.
The approach is informed by psychoanalytic theory and practice, which means we can think about:
- How past experiences have an impact on your present.
- Relationship dynamics – how you interact with and see yourself, others and the world around you.
- Unconscious processes – from your dreams at day time and night, to all thoughts, feelings and experiences, giving greater insight into your mind and choice in your life.
About Kate Le Versha MÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Accred), MSt (Oxon), MA (Cantab)
I'm a qualified therapist, holding a Master’s in Psychodynamic Practice from the University of Oxford, a rigorous four-year training programme. I am accredited and registered with the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ.
Alongside working in private practice, I am a Psychotherapist in the NHS, and a therapist for London Contemporary Dance School.
I have worked for a number of years as a psychotherapist in the NHS, and for charities in London, with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I aim to offer an inclusive and safe space for all, and have worked with a range of different issues, including anxiety and depression, trauma and abuse, bereavement and loss, suicidal thoughts and feelings, alcohol and drug use, self-esteem and confidence, relationship issues and important life transitions.
I worked in the Arts before undertaking clinical training. I’m passionate about creativity, and exploring how the arts and psychodynamic therapy might inform one another.
Practice description
Psychotherapy or Counselling
Psychotherapy is an opportunity to explore in great depth, and over a longer period of time together. We work in an open-ended way, meaning we come to a joint decision about when it would be best to end, as part of your therapy. I recommended a minimum of a year in psychotherapy.
With counselling, we can focus on a particular concern and decide together how many sessions would be most suitable to explore this.
With both psychotherapy and counselling, we would jointly agree on what would be the best focus for our work together. This might change over time.
Sessions are at a dedicated time each week, lasting 50 minutes.
Online therapy or in-person
Remote therapy can take place online with video sessions using Zoom, or over the phone. Remote therapy offers convenience and greater access to therapy. You must ensure you have a secure and private space.
In-person sessions take place in a quiet and private therapy room in Farringdon and The City, or in Wimpole Street, Marylebone. Both are in buildings dedicated to talking therapies. This offers you a confidential space to come to each week.
My first session

Initial consultation
If we both feel that working together would be helpful for you to explore, we would arrange a time for an initial consultation.
This is one, or more, 50-minute sessions, where you have the opportunity to see what it would be like to work with me, and I can begin to understand what brings you to therapy, and what our focus might be.
There is no obligation to continue in therapy after the consultation. Some like to book a consultation as a stand-alone piece of work.
If you would like to continue together in therapy, we would agree on how it would work best, and I will share a Therapy Agreement with you in order to start the work.
