I am an experienced psychotherapist who has helped many people through difficult times in their lives. I will work together with you to discuss, understand and resolve anything that’s on your mind. My priority is to create a space where you feel listened to and accepted. We will explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and situation.
I work with clients with a wide range of personal issues around depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, abuse, loneliness, stresses within the workplace, low self-esteem, relationship and sexual problems including performance anxiety, erectile dysfunction and struggles with intimacy.
I have also worked with many clients from the LGBTQ+ community with issues surrounding sexual identity, shame, body image, chemsex, toxic masculinity and homophobia.
Practice description
My aim is to build a relationship with you through weekly sessions where complex feelings can be expressed and understood. I endeavour to support you in creating a feeling of openness and safety which allows you to understand and know yourself better. Together we will explore your feelings and history more thoroughly and ultimately find a healthier relationship with yourself and the world around you.
As well as my private practice, I have worked in high performing educational institutions with both staff and students. I am therefore attuned to the unique challenges people face in such competitive environments. I also have a background in creative industries so am well aware of pressure in that specific field.
My first session
In our first session we will explore your reasons for entering into to therapy and what you wish to gain from it. We will discuss any previous therapy and also I will ask you about key relationships and any events that may have had an impact on you. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about counselling or psychotherapy. We will assess whether we are the right ‘fit’ and discuss further sessions if you want to continue with me as your therapist. And, of course, all of this is completely confidential.
