Hello and welcome,
In today's rapidly changing world, especially since the 2020 Covid pandemic and various global and personal events, many of us feel the impact on how we live, work, manage finances, and maintain relationships. These changes can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, stress and many other mental health issues.
If you’re finding it difficult to cope and need a safe, non-judgmental space to talk, I’m here to help. As a professional counsellor, I offer a compassionate and empathetic ear, and together we can explore and understand your challenges. I will support you in developing new coping strategies to enhance your self-confidence and autonomy.
I offer individual counselling sessions and welcome those who wish to work on personal development and future goals, even if not in crisis.
We will work collaboratively on your issues, applying therapies that best suit your personal situation. I understand that seeking help can be daunting, but I am here to support you every step of the way.
Practice description
I work using an integrative approach because I believe that one size does not fit all. By combining various therapeutic methods, I tailor my counselling to meet your unique needs and personal challenges.
I may use a range of approaches to promote growth, change, confidence, and self-esteem, such as:
Person-Centred Therapy: Helps you reconnect with your self-worth and inner values.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Assists in overcoming overwhelming problems by identifying their roots and implementing effective coping strategies.
Psychodynamic Therapy: Brings unconscious emotions to awareness, helping to explore and resolve immediate issues.
Existential Therapy: Encourages awareness of personal choices and options, fostering a sense of autonomy.
My first session
I offer a free 10-15 minute telephone consultation to help you understand the counselling process, discuss your needs, and see how we can work together. If we are a good fit, we will schedule your first 50-minute counselling session.
For September, I am opening up 5 spaces to those who would normally pay a full fee of £65 at a discounted rate of £45 per session. I am also opening up 3 concessionary spaces of £40 at a discounted rate of £30 per session. These slots will go quickly so call in to book a session.
From October 2024 new clients will be charges for Individual sessions: £65 per 50-minute session.
From October 2024 new clients will pay a concessional rate: £40 per session for individuals on a low income, negotiable based on personal circumstances. Please note that concessional spaces are limited.
I provide individual counselling sessions for adults. Unfortunately, I do not offer sessions for children or couples.
