About me and my therapy practice
I am a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) and therapist, and I am passionate about helping people to heal from the inside out. This means that together, we look at the symptoms, and we get to know how these symptoms have been protecting you. We don't target the symptoms or try to change them. Instead, gently and respectfully and at a pace that works for you, we address what is going on beneath the symptoms. Once that has been addressed the symptoms will dissipate.
I am trained as an integrative therapist and also as an IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist. I use the different modalities together or on their own depending on your needs and preferences. This allows me to tailor the therapy to you as a unique human being.
If you would like to learn more about me and my practice, you can have a look at my website or get in touch.
Practice description
I work with individuals who need support as they navigate a rough patch, or seeking change in their lives. I work with most general presentations, however, I also specialise in Bereavement and Loss; Trauma and Complex Trauma; Anxiety and Depression; Anger issues; and invisible illnesses. I also have a special interest in relational issues.
I am a trauma and LGBTQ+ informed therapist and I work in a very collaborative manner.
My first session
Finding the right therapist can be daunting. This is why, before the first session, I offer a brief introductory video call. This is an opportunity to find out whether we are the right fit for each other. Following that, the first session is very much about you sharing what you think I need to know about you for the purpose of the therapy. This information will inform the therapeutic approach, and is updated as we go along. There are no minimum amount of sessions you need to commit to, and most importantly there is no right or wrong way to do therapy. Together, you and I, will find the way that works for you.
I always respond to queries. So if you don't receive a reply, check your spam/junk folder. If you share your mobile number in the initial enquiry I will also send you a text to alert you to a new email until we establish a connection.
