About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified person centred counsellor and have significant experience supporting individuals who find themselves lost, alone, confused, stuck, depressed or overwhelmed.
How I Can Help?
I can offer a confidential space for you to explore any issues or problems you are facing. A safe place where talking to a professional will give you a better understanding of 'yourself' to help you solve any difficulties you are experiencing.
During the counselling process things may become clearer, new understandings about what it is preventing you from living more fully will emerge, alongside new possibilities for living a richer, more fulfilling life. The process will highlight opportunities for making positive change.
By exploring your situation in a safe and non-judgemental welcoming environment, together we can search for new possibilities. Where you can be heard, a space where you can speak, feel and think freely, perhaps for the first time.
How do I practice?
I strongly believe that all individuals are capable of growth and positive change. I create a supportive and non-judgemental space for clients to discuss whatever they want to. I aim to support clients to work through their feelings and struggles, whilst enabling them to remain in control. Sessions can be held over various online platforms, outside (walk and talk therapy) or in my office space in Wakefield.
Counselling sessions are between £50 & £70 for a 50 minute session.
Practice description
Online counselling
I offer convenient and accessible online counselling sessions. I understand that life's challenges don't always adhere to traditional schedules or locations. With online counselling, you can access professional support from the comfort of your own space, at a time that suits you best.
Walk and talk counselling
I offer a unique "Walk and Talk Counselling" approach as sometimes the best therapy sessions happen when you're in motion, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. Step outside and let nature be your co-therapist on your journey towards wellness and self-discovery.
Face to face counselling
I understand that sometimes, the most effective form of support comes from a face-to-face connection. My in-person counselling sessions provide a safe and comfortable space for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions. Whether you're seeking help for personal growth, relationship issues, or mental health concerns, my face-to-face counselling sessions offer a compassionate and confidential environment where you can openly express yourself and work towards your goals.

My first session
What does the initial session look like?
The initial 20 minute enquiry session is free, via telephone or video call, to enable clients to decide whether or not my services are suitable for them. Once a client has decided to go ahead with counselling, the first session is used to gain an insight into what they are struggling with, and what they hope to gain from counselling. Together we also complete a client information sheet and discuss the counselling agreement in this session.
